I know I have not posted in a while, but I have been really busy. My family and I are all settled back into school life here in Daegu. It's strange to think that we have only been here for a month and yet it seems like so long since we were home. Life here is just so simple and easy. It sometimes seems unfair to love being here and living so far away from everyone.
Anyway, this past weekend we finally took a huge step in the right direction. Thanks to a wonderful new teacher at the school with some perfectly timed connections, we were able to get a great referral to a fertility hospital here in Daegu. Unlike the states, there is no one doctor that you call up to make an appointment with. Even when you are sick you just simply go to the hospital.
After we did as much research as possible online, we set about on how to make an appointment. Only problem was that the hospital's reception is only Korean speaking. Even though they do have English speaking doctors, we were going to have to find someone we trusted enough to call and make the appointment for us. Thankfully our wonderful school nurse agreed to help us. Now this was on a Thursday afternoon that we asked her for her help. Friday morning she told us that we had an appointment for 6pm that evening. As easy as making the appointment was, there was one slight problem. We would need to fill out some paperwork and it was only printed in Korean. Thankfully our school nurse volunteered to go with us. I am really hoping that she does not regret that now.
